Keeping
up with the changes in our relationships.
As
time goes by, our relationships are bound to change. For
some, these times of change and growth can be emotional,
confusing and challenging. Here are some areas where I've
helped others:
Marital
Issues: Over the years, marriages may endure some painful
times. Trust and intimacy may become more difficult to maintain.
Communication weakens. One partner might be fighting the
desire to stray. My role is to help partners understand
one another, re-establish healthy communication and find
common goals in order to create a deeper, more satisfying
marriage.
In
the event of divorce, you'll also find Dr. Haynes to be
a valuable resource in helping you get through the divorce
process without the anger and bitterness that so often undermine
families.
Sexual
Fulfillment: Do you find you can't enjoy erotic love
in marriage? Do you use sex to cling to someone just so
you won't feel alone? Do you feel shame or rejection for
your sexual feelings? Do you only enjoy sex as long as you
feel the other person idolizes you or you idolize them?
Do you act seductively, but find sex itself repugnant? Dr.
Haynes can help you bring together your sexual needs and
a real, loving, committed relationship.
Family
Conflicts: Problems with your in-laws are causing tension.
You're caring for an elderly parent. Your grown child is
still living at home. Your stepchildren are coming between
you and your spouse. Such stresses can take a toll, resulting
in hostility, poor communication and a breakdown of the
family structure. Dr. Haynes' goal is to help you develop
the emotional tools you need to face these challenges effectively.
